Galentine’s day was created as a way to appreciate those wonderful women friendships. It’s a great way to say thanks for being my bestie and of course it’s the perfect excuse for you and the gals to catch up. Step aside gents this day is for the ladies. February 13th has unofficially become Galentine’s day and we want to make sure you’ve got everything you need to make it the best one yet!

Here’s a few of our helpful tips to celebrate Galentine’s day this year. These tips will have you laughing with the girls and sharing a new tradition in no time. 

Step 1 – Gather the girls!

A little love can go a long way, so why not spoil your besties this Galentine's Day? Whether you gather one of your besties or the whole gang, we know it will make for a great outing.  We know it can be hard to schedule in those much needed girl catch ups between everyone’s busy schedules, but there’s no better time than Galentine’s day to get together.

Step 2 – Make it fun

If you’ve never done Galentine’s before, now’s your chance to create some great memories together. A good way to make this occasion better than any other outing with your besties is with a small thoughtful gift from the heart. This can be something small that shows you care, like giving your besties a hamper filled with their fave chocolates and a nice scented candle or a jar filled with compliments and memories you’ve shared together. This can even become a tradition to celebrate the day every year with a small token of appreciation you can all share. 

Step 3  – Create a unique experience

As Leslie explained it in the 2010 episode of Parks and Rec: “Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies.”
