Now, this is a DIY Easter favourite that you just have to try. Never heard of a hot choc bomb? you haven't lived!
They are chocolate spheres filled with hot chocolate mix & marshmallows. All you have to do it pour hot milk over the top and watch your chocolate melt.
These are so much fun for people of all ages and can be made one of two ways. Read on to find out how to make hot chocolate bombs with ready-made easter eggs.
Pack of hollow Easter eggs. See tips for suggestions.
Hot chocolate powder mix (roughly 25g per egg)
Marshmallows
Melting chocolate (optional)
Piping bag (optional)
Gently split open your easter egg down its joining line. You may want to use a small sharp knife to pierce it.
Fill one half of your egg with your hot chocolate powder and marshmallows.
Heat a pan on low, carefully place your second half melt its sides, quickly join the halves back together and ensure it closes over.
Optional: Melt cooking chocolate and place into a piping bag, pipe over the chocolate bomb, and add toppings to decorate.
For your hot chocolate bomb, you will need to source a reasonable-sized hollow egg, one that can fit your hot chocolate mix and marshmallows. We suggest Kinder surprises or Cadbury dairy milks.
Use mini marshmallows or Easter bunny marshmallows inside your bomb
Once your hot chocolate bomb is made, heat up the milk of your choice and pour it over in a mug.
