CHEERS TO THE DIGGER'S DAUGHTERS! While the brave men were fighting overseas, it was mainly the women who held the fort at home. They took on roles traditionally reserved for men, working in factories, farms, and hospitals, all while managing households and caring for families. Anzac biscuits, a symbol of wartime resilience and ingenuity, were created by women back then. These hearty, nourishing treats were sent to soldiers on the front lines, providing a taste of home and a reminder of the love and support waiting for them. Step back in time to the days of resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering courage. This Anzac Day, “Left Bank Melbourne” invites you to honour the spirit of these remarkable women who stood strong on the home front, embodying the true essence of strength and fortitude during wartime. As we pay tribute to their enduring legacy, we proudly present our special offer, "Diggers Have Daughters Too." “Left Bank Melbourne” celebrates these unsung heroes with a unique cocktail and roast lunch experience. Join us on Anzac Day as we raise a toast to the extraordinary women who surely played a vital role in history. Enjoy a specially created ANZAC cocktail on arrival served with an equally special 3-course Roast Lunch hosted on Thursday 25th April 2024. Become some of the first to celebrate these daughters of diggers. Of course, beers and all the usual menu items are available.

Christmas Tree Trends 2022

THERE'S OFFICIALLY LESS THAN 10 DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS

We know there's nothing more magical than the sight of your home at Christmas time, and being surrounded by your loved ones. The best way to show your Christmas spirit is to cover your tree in the best way possible and that’s where we come in. Here are the top trends that are taking over your Christmas tree this year.

 Christmas Tree Skirts

Previously this tradition was not adopted in Australia, yet it has become a big addition to dressing up your tree in recent years. These gorgeous tree skirts help cover up the ugly base of your tree or the cables for your lights. Leaving your tree looking absolutely beautiful.

Traditional colours

You cannot go past a traditional green tree complimented by bright red and gold decorations to complete this elegant look. A theme that undoubtably will never go out of fashion.

Total white look/ neutral tones

An elegant and modern twist on the classic Christmas tree. Makes for the perfect way to complement the pre-existing aesthetic of your home. This Christmas tree style will compliment any colour palette and is a great way to create a modern and stylish look that everyone will love.

Memories of summer / Aussie style

There’s something special about celebrating Christmas in the warmth of summer. This year the aussie style trend shows off everything that being Australian is all about. Think a tree adorned with unusual decorations like thongs, volleyballs, gum nuts or santa on a surfboard. People joining this trend are definitely taking a step away from the basic styles of Christmas.

Bows on trees

Make your tree really stand out with this simple yet elegant look this Christmas. A great way to dress up your tree and all it will cost you is the length of a ribbon. You can effortlessly compliment this look with the use of baubles as well.

Slim trees

This style of tree has been a recent fan favourite. It invites those that don’t have a lot of space to still get into the spirit of Christmas and decorate away. Now there really is no excuse for not having a tree up! Also is perfect for those minimalists’ that don’t want to take away from the styling of their house.

We can expect to see these hot trends taking over our trees this year. A great way to incorporate your own special charm into decorating your home.
