ULTIMATE CHRISTMAS COSMOPOLITAN
We know everyone loves a classic cosmo but have you ever tried a Christmas cosmo?
Well now is your chance, if you’re looking for the perfect cocktail to serve this Christmas, look no further. This delicious cocktail makes for a great start to your festive celebrations and is sure to be a crowd pleaser. You’ll be delighted at how easy it is to make that you’ll be craving it all year round.
Quantity:
Makes 2 cocktails (recipe can be multiplied to make more)
Ingredients:
Cocktail shaker
40ml Vodka
10 ml Cointreau or Triple Sec
25ml of pomegranate juice or cranberry juice
15ml freshly squeezed lime juice
1 cup ice cubes
garnish of your choice – eg: orange, lime, rosemary
Note:
We recommend always using freshly squeezed lime juice where possible. The flavour is fresher and more vibrant than the juice from a bottle.
Add cranberries into your ice cube tray before freezing to make your festive cocktail that extra bit special.
Method:
Step 1: Begin with placing the ice into the cocktail shaker and then begin to squeeze half a pomegranate through your fingers – you want about 25ml of juice – then add the remaining ingredients (except the orange).
Step 2: Shake well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Making sure your cocktail is cold enough. If needed add additional ice to the shaker to help with this.
Step 3: Strain into a martini glass / glass of your choice.
Step 4: Garnish your cocktail to give it that festive look. Garnishes such as an orange peel, a twist of lime and a sprig of rosemary can help achieve this look!
Step 5: Serve this delicious cocktail to your guests and wait for the compliments to come pouring in.
