The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival River Graze

The River Graze

Each year food and wine lovers in their thousands flock to events that fill Melbourne's labyrinthine network of restaurants, laneways, lights-turned-down basements, dizzying rooftops, and spill into spectacular regional Victoria.

Victoria is incredibly lucky to have an abundance of fresh seasonal produce, bustling food markets, innovative chefs and their award-winning restaurants, expert winemakers, the warmest hospitality
and passionate artisan producers on its doorstep.

This year, Left Bank Melbourne will be participating in the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival between the 22nd and 24th of March 2019.

Join us on the Southbank Promenade to discover award-winning wines and our very popular seafood bar.

Get Your Feet Dirty!

A grape-stomping experience like never before!

Left Bank Melbourne participates in the MFWF every year. This year, we are working with our charity partner, the Plate up Project to raise funds for the remarkable initiative they have been working on over the last year.

‘The Plate Up Project’, is a homelessness and domestic violence initiative launched in Melbourne to offer people fleeing domestic violence and experiencing homelessness a hand up,
not a handout. The Project assists its students to gain new cooking, hospitality and employment skills.

Left Bank Melbourne has formed an ongoing partnership with the Plate up Project whereby we aim to offer an understanding and supportive workplace which leads to stable employment situations for sufferers of domestic abuse. This decreases the likelihood of individuals returning to abusive relationships due to financial instability and less likelihood of further abuse & harm.

We are working collaboratively with Oakridge winery for this event. Together, we will be operating a grape stomping experience on the 23rd & 24th of March at the River Graze event. Oakridge Winery will have a number of sensory opportunities for guests to experience such as different soil samples, grapevine leaves and different stages in the fermentation process to sample.

We have a number of celebrities that have also pledged their support to this initiative and they will be raising funds for the Plate Up Project through a grape stomping performance. They will be "getting their feet dirty".

Join us for food, wine, entertainment, and many laughs!
