Public Holiday Party Cocktails

The start of the year is always so kind to us with plenty of public holidays off to look forward to. Well, it has been 18 days since our last and there is exactly one week till the next! We’re embracing the public holiday as a day to enjoy Australian sweet treat inspired cocktails. Adulthood doesn't have to be all work and no play; So, below are some recipes you can make at home and taste your Aussie childhood on Australia Day…or any day really.

Fairy Bread Martini

Ingredients:

(Makes 2)

80ml Baileys

60ml Vodka

175ml Cream

60g Melted white choc

100s and 1000s

6 ice cubes

Method:

Melt the 60g of white chocolate and add to the cream, with your martini glasses coat the rim in the mixture and dip in 100s and 1000s. Set these aside, in your cocktail shaker combine the Vodka, Baileys, Cream mixture and 6 ice cubes and shake. Pour into glasses and enjoy!

 

Lamington Daquiri

Lamingtons

Ingredients:

(Makes 2)

60ml Chambord

90ml Malibu

60ml coconut puree

90ml Organic cola

Ice

Chocolate topping

Desiccated coconut

Maraschino Cherry

 

Method:

Coat the rim of desired glass with chocolate topping and desiccated coconut, add all the rest of the ingredients into a blender and blitz. Pour into glass and top with a maraschino cherry.
