Whilst our Father’s Day plans have yet again been affected by the Melbourne lockdown, there is still time to make the weekend special for all of the dads, grandads and father figures in your life. Whether you’re living with your dad or not there are so many ways to make him feel special!
To do:
Host a trivia night dedicated to dad!
Get the family together for a couple hours of fun with a trivia zoom night. All you need is a computer, a decent internet connection and some trivia questions. You can write some trivia questions up yourself and customise it to dad or use a ready-made trivia questions found online.
This is the perfect way to catch up and connect remotely whilst having a bit of a friendly competition.
To eat:
While we can’t go to our favourite restaurants or pubs to celebrate this special day, we can do the next best thing and get takeaway. Left Bank Melbourne will be selling some Father’s Day favourites this weekend to enjoy on the spot or to take home to dad. We have some unbeatable food deals including oysters and king prawns - View menu here.
To drink:
There is no better way to treat day on Father’s Day than to a well-deserved drink.
At our weekend pop-up market, we have 6 mouth-watering cocktails to choose from for dad to shake and enjoy from home.
Dad not a cocktail type of man? Not a problem, we have plenty of beers, wines and other beverages on offer. View the menu here.
To make:
If there is one thing that is a must
on Father’s Day… its breakfast in bed. Dust off those chef skills and get to cooking for dad this Sunday. Check out this page
that has 22 different recipes for the ultimate Father’s Day breakfast in bed. While we are dusting off some skills, why not create him a homemade card – after all, in this lockdown we have nothing but time so why not make something heartfelt.
To buy:
Can’t be there for dad this year? Buy him something and send it to him virtually like an eGift card.
