Ned Goodwin was born in London but raised in Australia. Since then, he has traveled to many exotic cities including Tokyo and Paris studying the art of wine. He is one of but eight masters of wine in Asia and the first in Japan.
The Master of wine is the most prestigious title in the world of wine. The title came about more than sixty years ago in the UK wine trade but is now considered to be a global family with over 30 countries around the world that participate and just 384 Masters of Wine globally.
Masters of Wine are often asked to judge wine competitions all over the world; to lecture at wine courses; to lead tastings; to sample and assess some of the world's finest private cellars. Masters of Wine advise on the cellars of governments and heads of state. Masters of wine have passed the most difficult wine industry exams in the world.
Ned Goodwin has the skill to blind taste a bottle of wine and tells you…
The grape variety
The year it was produced
And the country & region it comes from
To be amongst a Master of wine is an experience like no other. A road to discovery, unearthing new senses and skills that can only be learned from that of a Master.
